Biography

Kwan Park’s practice focuses on employment and labor litigation.

Kwan’s entire legal career has focused on representing employers. He seeks to understand each client’s unique business needs and objectives and relentlessly works to achieve them, whether in employment and labor litigation or in addressing novel legal issues.

In particular, Kwan litigates complex actions, including putative class, collective, and representative (e.g., under the California Private Attorneys General Act) actions involving anywhere from dozens to tens of thousands of employees. Throughout his career, Kwan has defended employers against a wide range of employment and labor claims, such as alleged wage and hour violations (e.g., minimum wages and overtime, meal and rest periods, accurate itemized wage statements, necessary business expenses, timely payment of final wages, etc.), misclassification (including exempt status and independent contractor), unfair labor practice, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in court and before government agencies, including the California Labor Commissioner’s Office and the California Employment Development Department.
